Hi guys..hope you can help.. this engine sat for a few years. Installed new stat and water pump, rebuilt carbs, new spark plugs, new fuel pump, new hose and primer bulb, cleaned gas tank and pick up, new rectifier, new power pack. Compression is around 100+ on all 3 holes. Motor starts and idles excellent. When tring to accelerate out of the hole it sometimes bogs as if I'm not even throttling it up. Pull back and give it again, it will take off. Does not always do this. Abot 70% of the time . Any clues? Some one the electronic pick up? Thanks for the help. V20.

A stumble or bog that you are descibing generally means lean condition. Your engine needs more fuel at the bottom end.

you might try to oversize your low speed jets..to increase the avail fuel at low speed.

Your compression at 100 psi is not really high either.

Your engine is performing like a 70hp with 100psi.

TMD
