The Holiday has been tucked into the corner of the hanger all winter waiting for some attention, I think I finally have everything done on the Rat Rod so time to get the Holly ready for summer.
I have a couple things that require attention, last summer she was mildly overheating, so I was pretty gentle with her, turns out the impellor is in pretty rough shape, I recall two times it got started and run dry for a few seconds. So it's going to get an OE replacement this time instead of aftermarket.
The other item that needs attention is the shine? This usually requires a day of polishing to get it back to looking great, but I have found another great product line that makes it so easy. I have used Sonus for all the boats since day one and really liked it, but it just doesn't cut it, when compared to the new product.
This is kind of ironic but last summer at one of the car shows I attended with the RR, I won a prize which consisted of a bottle of Ultra Luster waterless wash and a couple micro fiber towels not so good for the rat rod, but awesome on my Van, truck and the paint the Holly. Turns out they have a metal polish that just makes the aluminum gleam in short order. Once I'm done shining I will post some pictures.
P.S. there is no easier way to keep a painted surface looking awesome than the Waterless wash, you can spray it on everything, glass, plastic,. No white residue after buffing and it makes glass gleam and water run off.
