Sorry I havent been on since my last post. Taking all the input you all gave me and putting it to good use. Bob trying to locate marine grade plywood in the chittenden county area, lowes/nope, home crepo/nope, Curtis lumber?
any ideas?
Also will be posting all up to date pictues this evening. Quite a few.
Up to date:
Top cap of boat is off and resting on milk crates.
I have all my measurements for the new transom, unfortunately it was not delaminated from the inside or outside skin, so I will have to drill it out and take it out in pieces. I will make a template before I do this. 1.5 inchs thick so to half sheets of 3/4 will do.
So once I can get that done, I will tackle the new deck section for the back half of the boat. I wont be tackleing the forward casting deck yet. I think I will be leaving that for last. I need to take a lot of measurements for my reinforcements for the flooring, that will take some time.
So anyways things are coming along pretty well, have had a lot of rain to deal with. Trying to work around that and do this outside is a problem. I did pickup one of those telescoping pop up canopies. That helps keep the rain and hot sun off.
What do you think of the layout for the deck plans? Avid bass fisherman that I am, I am re tooling the boat specifically for fishing and local tournaments.
Let me no what you all think.
