I have a 35hp Evinrude model 35E76G that I just had given to me. it had water in the lower unit and was left outside all winter and cracked the side of the gear case. I've been told that epoxy or welding are not good choices for a repair on this. Does anyone know what year gear cases will fit this motor, sometimes more than 1 year will interchange. And if you have a gear case that will fit I would possibly buy it for the right price. My gears and shafts all seem to be in good shape so I could easily put these in a used gear case with some new seals and maybe be back in business for a fair price. Please let me know any info that might help.
