G'day again guys still working on this old 76 that died when I hit a log full throttle
So thanks to everyone for the tips and tricks about the back firing and timing issues
I pulled the flywheel and fixed the woodruff key got it started again
In the process of getting the flywheel off which was as stuck as stuck could be had a rounded nut from previous owner or owner before him
Iv had to strap the flywheel down tight to be able to get the nut off in the process the exuast has clean snaped I put a couple of pictures up not sure if it cracked when I hit the log or if it's just from straping the flywheel down to apply pressure or both
But dmg is done time to move onto the issue at hand
I have a 1978 spare parts motor im wondering if I can just swap the exhaust out and it will be all good or have I snaped some kind of housing that needs replacing as well or possibly if I can just swap the body with the exhaust from the 1978 spare parts to the 1976 running motor
Really appreciate all the help and love the forum thanks legends
