i have a 1975 johnson 50hp 50ESL75B 1969 larson 14.3 ft by about 5 wide and i would consider it a heavy boat
what prop pitch should i use?
i don't have a speedo but it cruises at a descent speed
and how do i tell what pitch is the prop i already have on there

You should be posting this over in the "prop questions and topics" section......they will also need to know the operating range (on the motor id plate) and what rpm's you're currently reaching at WOT. The prop pitch should be marked on the prop hub but you will probably have to remove the prop nut and spacer to see it. The standard oem wheel fitted to that motor was a 12 1/4" by 15.
