Looking for a new challenge so I picked up a 1974 glastron v140 for $150. No engine. No seats. Lots of holes and rotted deck. Trailer is rusted.

Goal is to have all done by June 1 2017 for under $1000.

Any input or ideas really appreciated

1. My boat only has a center stringer. Has anyone seen this before?

2. Should I add more stringers than I found for support or just replace existing project.

3. Planning on filling holes with epoxy and 1708. How many layers of fabric usually added?

Under $1000? Does that include the purchase of an engine? If so... going to be a challenge! Even without the engine it will be a challenge...

I don't know much about Glastrons, I'm sure others here will chime in, but my guess would be that if you replace everything as it was from the factory, but do a more careful/thorough job than the factory, you will be fine.

Post some pics of the boat, the holes, the good and the bad. Set up a photobucket account if you don't have one, then embed/link the pictures in your post.

1K sounds like less then half what you'll need.

Trailer rehab
Buy and tune outboard
Fuel system
Interior and seats
Steering setup
Plus all the plywood, fiberglass and resin (epoxy or polyester)

The list will add up quick and is not all inclusive

Uhmmm, No!!! Not gunna even be close. If you're not prepared to invest 2,000-3,000 in the restoration of this boat, Then my recomendation is Don't Start!!!!

Not trying to discourage you but it all does add up . Use poly instead of epoxy and that will save you a little ..

Don't forget the transom, if the floor and stringer are shot so probably is the transom, best to do it all while it is apart. You're going to eat through $1000 pretty fast just in replacing rotten wood. Good news is your timeline is achievable.
