Old engine is finally out! One step closer
Thanks guys! It sure has been cold, and the snow makes everything more difficult, particularly ice freezing parts in place. But spring is coming! ( I hope)

I tried un threading the large nut on the right hoping it would slide off but no success
You're on the right track. Loosen that nut and pull it out
Sometimes you have to give it some persuasion with a block of wood and a hammer. I've not tried it but a little heat might help. There is some grease inside that has gotten hard which is why it's stuck. One time I even had to use a wood dowel to drive it through the tube.
So those chains laying with the rude work good to pull that motor out of his hands? :highly_amused:
