I watched a YouTube video where the person was putting new floor and stringers in his fiberglass boat. Not sure of the proper name but he unscrewed the aluminum trim that's around the outside of the gunwales. He was then able to pick up the top half and console of the boat. Leaving the bottom wide open with easy access to the bottom and flooring.

My Glastron has similar trim and was wondering if mine is two piece too?
Sure would make life easier for rebuilding from the bottom up.

Yes, your Glastron Skiflite has a top cap. Once you remove the rub rail/ trim, it will expose the joint which will be stapled or rivited in place.. You need to have your hull supported with a cradle before the cap is removed

And its likely well glued at the transom

Not as easy as it sounds to remove rubrail and lift off the top cap
