1973 Mercury 50hp coil

Hello,

I am in need of a coil for a 1973 Mercury outboard serial # 3481747. I was wondering what years of coils interchange. Any help with this is much appreciated.

Is your coil damaged as these rarely fail, most problems are with the wiring harness, switchbox or ignition driver coils in distribitor.......

I think I need the ignition driver coils. Its my dad's and he had someone look at it and they told him what he needed. I will see if they gave him a part number. Thanks for the responses.
