Is there any way of adding tilt and trim to a 1973 V-4?

A CMC unit is the best way to go. You can find older OMC units, but they are rare and pricy. The 73 - 77 motors with tilt and and trim are what you need if you can find one used.

Go with the CMC. The 73-77 were okay in their time but now they are hard to find parts for at reasonable $$$$.
