1973 Evinrude 115 - what lower/midsections will the powerhead attach to (20 -> 25")

So I have a 1973 20" 115 that has been rigged up to fit a 25" transom using a backwards jackplate.

I also have 2 25" 235 V6s (unknown year, but pre-90s - no oil injection) that I got off craigslist in the following condition: one that has some lower unit damage 'fixed' by a monkey with a large tube of jbweld, and one that has a severely scored cylinder.

I know I can put together 1 running 235 from those (JBWeld powerhead on scored-cyl motor's mid/lower)... But the boat is rated for 125hp...

So:
1) Can you put a 73 115hp powerhead on a 235 mid/lower assembly?

2) If the answer to (1) is 'no', what years V4 bottom-end assemblies (eg, everything but the powerhead) will take a 73 115 powerhead?

I do not believe a 1973 powerhead is a direct swap onto a 235 HP midsection.====Research to be done on the parts pages by you.

Another Frankenmotor in planning...
V4 Midsections from 1973 thru 77 should fit, with the 140 being an exception.

Thanks. As far as I can tell, all 3 of these were already 'frankensteined' before I got them (how many 'stock' 50yo OMC motors are there, anyway?), with the possible exception of the blown-cyl 235.

I think there are lots of 50 year old motors that are still the way they left the factory.
