Bought it a while back runs good but I did notice that it is spraying water right below the powerhead about 1/4 inch or smaller wide also noticed some of the gasket gone in that area. Can I run it like this or will it hurt the engine? I don't know much about these engines. Can I still buy the gasket to fix it or are they discontinued or can i use some other gasket sealer on it. Thanks

This should not cause a problem.Water is pumped to the top of the leg to a defuser and allowed to fall back down.just to cool the leg.I would try to clean the area to get rid of any oilyness and dirt. Then mixup some epoxy and press it into the hole.Perhaps allow it to spread a little to adhere to the surface area.

Does anyone know the sparkplug gap, oil mixture for my 1973 Eska 7hp model 1747C. I did check my water pump and it's all good. She almost idles but not quite.

Spark plug gap is probably .30
Oil is 50:1 2-stroke oil for air cooled engines.
It probably doesn't idle because the carb is somewhat fouled with old gas. Take it off and douche it.
