1973 50 hp johnson 2 stroke

Hi there my 1973 leaks fuel through the crankcase breather also has begun to run erratically ie revs going up and down.
Any ideas please

I am not sure about a ---" crankcase breather " ---On that motor ?---Describe what it looks like and where it is on the motor.---Any pictures ?----What other trouble shooting has been done ?

I'll take some photos but it's a rubber hose that comes from the main body of the engine and is vented into the bottom right hand corner of the airnox

I believe that is a drain hose for the airbox.

Oh I see well I have petrol coming into the airbox from that hose

just an update i case it helps somebody else i found my fuel problem the idle jets were adjusted to far out reset them to 11/2 turn each and runs sweet with no excess fuel from the breather.
