Im looking at a super sea horse out board, talking to the owner and it is stuck in reverse. I guess it has a electrical shifter on it. he told me he believes that the motor is a 1972 any info on how to fix this would be helpfull the serial num. is j2519439

model num is va4l-175

V4AL17 is a 1965

The shift switch in the remote control is probably either broken or stuck. Disconnect the control wire and see if it goes in neutral (it should).
