i got a 1972 starcraft aluminum boat from a friend.
It needs a little TLC.
I have read about an epoxy compound that is used to seal leaky rivits but how do you determine where the leaks are coming from?

The boat has a plywood floor so i could launch it at a ramp but i think it would be hard to determine where the leaks are coming from?

Thanks

Re: 1972 starcraft

I had a '72 Starcraft and to test for leaking rivets I put water inside the boat and then look for the leak. I only put water up to the floor boards, as a boat is constructed for water pressure to be pushing in, NOT out. Don't overfill it.
Gluvit or Marine-Tex will do a good job to seal a leaking rivet. GOOD LUCK.
