I have a 14 foot fisher marine. the throttle cable broke and the tiller is gone. Anyone know a correct part number for a new cable? i have a "simplex" control. also, will the motor have starting problems if the vent is closed on the gas tank?
Actually, it depends on the age of the Simplex. There are two types. I believe they sell them here at iboats and should be able to figure it out for you. Important: Find out the length of the cable before attempting to order. They come in every one foot increments.
Closed vent probably won't keep it from starting but it may run awhile and quit like it ran out of gas.
