Hey guys this is my first outboard and im currently trying to get it tuned up for some duck hunting this winter. I just purchased the motor off of ebay and when it came home i noticed it had a big blob of jb weld on the side of it. The jb weld is huge and sticks out quite a bit from the lower unit. The prop is also banged up pretty good. I took the boat out the other day and it sounded like it was possibly slipping and it looks like its pushing alot of water from the lower unit. The motor starts and idles fine . Its just when i rev it up and the prop get to going real good. Is it safe too say this is probably the culprit of my problem. I wish the guy i bought it from would have told me this, but anyways im only out a $100 bucks. Thanks again
