Just replaced the pull rope on my recoil starter, I only started it once with the old rope and it broke so I have no experience to draw on.

When I start the motor as soon as the motor cranks I hear a "Cha Ching" noise from the starter right before it retracts the rope. I assume it's the flywheel hitting the pols as starts to spin.

Is this nosie normal? If not how do I remedy it?

Pawls are hitting, clean, reassemble with CLP spray and make sure wave washers are in place
