Hello. I have a 125ESL71C serial J3518101 with ignition troubles. I have the seloc manuel and have ran through their tests for toubleshooting CD Ignition. First is there a better manuel for this motor and where can I get it. Second, I think I have a bad power pack. Let me start by saying that this engine had sat for a while( i am guessing 2 years) and mice had gotten under the cowl and chewed some of the insulation from the wire. I tried the test I found here on line with the bulb and at first it was blinking. Changed plugs and the engine fired for a short burst 4 or 5 times. I checked for spark with an inline tester and found 2 and 3 firing 1 and 4 not firing. Removed flywheel and checked everything couldn't find anything major there. I did find where a mouse had chewed the insulation from the wire from the sensor. repaired with liquid tape. Checked sensor resistance 5.2 ohms. The powerpack cover had been damaged before and removed, so I removed it again and moving the black ground wire near where it goes into the gel? incapsulation (it's pliable) I heard a spark and the engine fired one of the cylinders. A new power pack is a lot of money but not if I can get this running. Its on a Hydrosport 178VEE. Just wanted to get someone's opinion of where to start or if I am on the right track. A schematic of the pulse pack would be helpful. Thanks for any help.

You can get the original manual from the Ken Cook company, in Milwaukee. Call them and give them your model number and a credit card and they will send you the original service manual.
