First off, hello, new to the forum.
We build bowfishing boats. We restore old cars and know how it is trying to find parts and what not.
We recently acquired a 1971 Cobalt Mercruiser Stern Drive, pretty sure it's a pre alpha 4 cylinder Mercury engine. The boat is rough. The hull is fine, no cracks or holes. Interior has seen better days. Chrome trim isn't too bad. She needs a bath before that can be fully seen. Seats, etc, dry rotted bad.
Engine - don't know, we aren't going to mess with it. We may pull the lower unit off and offer it on ebay for a parts. It sat in the barn we got it from for at least 5 years, prior to that it sat in another barn. It was started 5 years ago, then it was parked until we got it out We needed the trailer for a boat we are building so we got it. Would love some advice to dispose of it.
