Hey All: Up graded an old engine. (1150 mercury L6 Ser 3025492) cylinders in the 120's New upgraded trigger. Check on switch box OK. New fuel pump diaphrams and check valves. New filters and floats in carbs. New starter. Started up normal on pressure hose adaptor on water intake. P hole showed good flow. Then things seemed to go downhill from there. Initially it was just rough like fouled plug. Took to lake and it fired up but rough in idle. Put in gear and idled rough, forwarded throttle and it faded and stalled. Tried combination several times with same results. In neutral, warm up lever runs up engine rpm but rough. Used dial indicator for TDC and advance.
I think I have the timing close or right, but problem seems to be increasingly worse. I ready to pull the fuel pumps off again and see if I put a check valve in wrong. Not sure what to check next. Any ideas would be helpful.
