1970's 85 hp mercury

i have a new rotor shaft with rotor. broke the rotor trying to remove the one in the distributor. does anyone know how they are pressed in and who would be able to swap them out?

The distributor must be removed and completely disassembled in order to replace the rotor. Here's an old post with some comprehensive instructions on doing that:
