1970 Evinrude 60 hp

Hello all, lots of great information on here but I can't quite find anything on the 60 HP. I will be replacing the water pump impellor on this motor and the book is pretty generic. Any no,no's or tricks to completing this project?

There is 2 wires that go through the lower cowling on this motor that go to the lower unit for electric shift. Disconnect these and Tie a nice long piece of string or fine wire to them so when you drop the lower unit you will be able to use the string to pull them back up after your done. These wires a connected with rubber covered twist spade connectors.
