I have a 1970 boat with the Astro logo on the side. I am trying to get pictures or just info on it but when I get in 1970 astro boat it states Astro didn't manufactor boats in 1970. If Astro is the manufactor does anyone know what the model name would be. I love clean , sea worthy boats and I want to keep it original but can't find needed info. placard states decarthu Indiana. Any help if with be awesome. I purchased it in PA.

Looks to me as if a carpenter got ahold of the boat and trimmed it out with a ton of wood accents.

Same color as mine, same seats and same wood trim. So i believe that the wood was original to the boat. I got a lot of real nice comments about my boat I. It's almost pristine condition and I feel an old boat is just as important as someone restoring an old 55 Chevy and that what I am hoping to get from this forum.

Be prepared for rotten wood under the floor, stringers, transom and floor will need replaced, as that boat is almost 55 years old. While they may look cool, those old tri-hulls were terrible for rotting under the floor.

With all that extra wood trim on the transom and under the cleats, I would not be shocked if a total redo was in order.

A manufacturer wants to get the boat out the door asap to maximize profit. All that wood trim on the motor, under the cleats, and tacked onto the transom defeats that purpose.

Boat is in great shape, had it in the water several times this summer. Was told it was garage kept, never put a cover on it kept in a temp control unit.
