What exactly are you trying to wire? There are good generic wiring diagrams in the stickies at the top of this forum area.

hi there ty for your reply had to buy new stern and bow light but wireing was all tore apart by other owner and have no idea where thay go ty

ty for the wiring part been studing it and i'm not quit sure what it means. I thought the lights were just used if you were comming off a lake after dark not following when your driving the boat the lights should be on? but if your anchor is down only the stern light should be on? is this what the artical is saying not sure as this is my first power boat but don't have my card yet studied for it but have no time to get it yet and never came acrossed that maby do to fitauge and stress and lack of sleep i'v missed it ty ps forgot to ask where would i ground off on the light ty ty ty

In the US (I imagine Canadian rules are similar if not identical), a red & green navigation light at the bow and an all-around white light at the stern are required to be lit while underway in limited visibility (night, fog, smoke, etc.) Larger boats have slightly different requirements. At anchor, only the stern light is to be lit.
