1970 165 6 inline has water in the carb

I know theres water in it, what would be the best thing to do to clean it? Also it wont stay running like fuels not getting to it. Should I replace or try to fix first?

water in the carb most likely came from the tank so start there first.dis-assemble and clean carb, check gas tank for water and clean as necessary.

Like above ^^^ Also add a fuel / water separator.
