Do you see that round black diaphram besides you electric choke ? Turn you key on and off and see if you hear that diaphram clicking.
Let's not get him confused with that diaphragm. Besides, that is not how it works, nor will it keep it from going into nuetral.
goodvibe, before we go completely nuts here, you ARE speaking of a 55hp here, right? You ARE running the motor, right? It will not shift unless it is running. If you are running it and you have confirmed 12V at the green wire at the motor, and you can hear the solenoid clicking, and it does not shift, there is a problem in the lower unit--assuming you got it full of the Type C.
Full of Type C
12V at green wire in neutral
12V at both green and blue wires in reverse
Solenoid clicks
Motor running
If ALL the above conditions are met, and it doesn't shift, there is a problem in the lower unit. I say again, ALL.
