1969 - 6 HP Evinrude Gearcase Lube

I have a 6HP '69 Evinrude Fisherman that calls<br />for OMC Type "C" Gearcase Lube. Would that be<br />the Premium Blend Gearcase Lube? and is my engine<br />an electric shift? It is model 6902 or 6903. Thank you.

Find some SAE 90 wt HYPOID oil for use in outboard motor lower units. Lubri-Plate makes some, as well as others. Available at your local Wal Mart, Hardware stores, etc.<br />- Scott

Also, there is nothing funky with your lower unit - it's a straight mechanical shift mechanism....<br />- Scott
