Hello everyone!
I'm new here and I am trying to find any information on Mc Kenzie Cherokee boats. I recently purchased this boat from a husband and wife who had this vintage boat for years but no longer could utilize it. I recently have been having a few things that are needing to be attended to.
Dashboard components don't work; fuel, speedometer, and compass don't work.
But most importantly the nut for the steering was a cast iron nut and it cracked today. It looks like there is a roll pin down there to the steering column. But I want to try and repair this and keep it as original as possible.
I am aircraft sheet metal mechanic and I don't mind hard work to keep her in good condition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
She is a 16 ft all aluminum boat.
I can't find any other information on it.
