I seem to have an air or gas hose running from the right side of the engine (looking back to front of boat) from a small circular power source of some sort. I also have a duct or plug in valve which sets on the block, under the carb and under the starter mounting bracket. This valve I noticed a minute ago sprays a myst I'm not sure it's origin. Does this hose go to the valve? I can email pictures better detailing but it won't let me post them here

It seems the hose in reference runs from the cut out switch. Should this be connected to some thing on its opposite end? Could this not being connected effect performance?

Reading between the lines, I think you are talking about the metal hot air tube leading from the exhaust manifold to the automatic choke. The other hose (assuming) goes to the vacuum cut-put switch. What sort of problem are you having, other than a leaking hose?

There is another, smaller hose running between the bottom and top of the block. It is an oil hose to lubricate the upper main bearing. The vacuum cut-out switch does nothing unless the motor is in runaway condition (running wild, won't slow down). The vacuum cut-out kills the ignition on one cylinder till it slows down to normal.

The hose doesn't leak. The one from the cutout switch is just dangling. The valve under the carburetor though not connected is spewing a myst out

My issue originally is it isn't getting enough speed on the water. I posted in another blog on this site. While replacing the old spark plugs I noticed this hose and the myst I noticed after starting the motor to ensure plugs were firing it up.

After some parts searching. It does seem to be a lube fitting. How ever, I have no clue as to where the hose goes from there assuming it even gets a hose.
