1968 1969 shift solenoid interchangeable?????????

Ihave a 1968 55hp hydro electric shift and the solenoid assembly part num. is0383616. And the part num for a 1969 is 0580776. They look the same. I found the solenoids for the 1969 for $30 apeice online and to by the hole assembly its expensive. Can i put theese solenoids on my 1968? iF SO ANYBODY EVER TAKE THE SOLENOIDS OFF THE ASSEMBLY?I see how to get the bottom one off nut dont no how to get the top one off
