Howdy it's been a few months sense i started my motor, it started fine. now when i try to start it the starter won't engadge to the flywheel. i tryed to lube it up. does anyone know what i should do?<br />thank you for your time.
If the starter is turning fast as it should, I would suspect that it may have grease on the bendix which would gather dirt which would jam it. If this is the case, spray some WD40 on it to free it up.
I'm speaking of the bendix drive, not the starter. The actual bendix drive gear and spiral support that allows the gear to travel upwards into the flywheel teeth.
