I need to make repairs to the boat transom. How do I lift the engine from the boat? Is there a spot that keeps the engine straight up and down?

My 1963 75hp is similar to your engine. I have a lifting hook that mounts to the flywheel ring cover. However, I just looked at the parts diagram for your motor at marineengine.com and it doesn't show a lifting hook. Is there not a lifting hook under your cowl at the top of the engine?

There isno lifting hook that I can see.

Make one that can mount to head bolts and be between cylinders
