I am working on a 1966 Johnson, according to what I can find out. It is a Model VXL-12R, S/N J268939-9. We were using a barrel and trying to figure out if the water pump was working. It fired up several times but wouldn't idle, kept having to hit the choke. Never did find the pee hole, it suddenly wouldn't start. We noticed a lot of oil in the water. Fuel/oil was coming from a weep hole directly above the prop!! Help! We didn't do an actual compression guage check, but did pull the plugs and check for some compression, it was good. Does anyone have any ideas on what happened??<br />P.S. Has anyone ever found on-line schematics or parts diagrams?
