Have you tried ebay? I have the same motor and I have seen the lever shifter there before.

As far as shifter clutch? you mean clutch dog? Is the gear case popping out of forward gear under load?

when you say shift lever you do mean the R_N_F shifter on the motor, right? not a long shaft going into the lower? How does the ears on the forward gear look? it doesnt take much of rounded edges to make the dog or gear ears too worn to be useable,Got a pic of the ears on each?

no it is down in the lower unit, i kinda looks like a wishbone. i found one of those, i just need a clutch dog. the clutch dog has a lil wear on it but i didnt know if it was enough to replace it. but if it doesnt take much than im sure i would be better off replacing it. they are so lil i dont know if you could tell much from a pic. i could barely see the wear on the clutch dog bug you can on the shifter. thankyou so much for your info. if anybody knows where i can find a clutch dog for a reasonable price i would sure appreciate it.

well wish it was the same town. is the lower unit good in it? if so would u be interested in selling the lower unit? or maybe parting it out? it seems like i cant find this clutch dog for any cheaper than 120.00 dollars which isnt that bad but i really wasnt expecting to pay that much and really hate to put that plus what i have already put into this motor. i may just have to stick with the trusty ol trolling motor.

Just turn the clutch dog around,it then will be using the unused ears on the F and R Gear,Make sure the F gear is OK you dont want to ruin a clutchdog thats hard to get.I find on ebay gears are much easier to get than dogs.
If you keep looking everyday on ebay you will find one much cheaper than 120,It does take time at times months.
