Impeller will not pump. Checklist of things done: two new impellers, checked pin to make sure there, inspect housing, made sure it is pointing in right direction, checked for obstructions above and below impeller, made sure gommit(?) fits securely on pipe leading to motor, only tested in lake with water level right below where it comes out. It does have a crack in one of the walls right below where metal plate sits below impeller would this make a difference. any suggestions will be highly apprecitated.

Did you check out your Thermostat? Tried blowing out your cooling passages with compressed air? I am sure some pro's will be on here with advice.

I do not think it has a thermostat, and I flushed them out with water and it traveled through like it was supposed to.

Does this water pump require a gasket?

I'm sorry, you would be right that motor does not have a T-stat.. Have you checked your lower unit lube for water intrusion? Could you get a pic of that crack in your housing? It may be letting water pressure to escape.. You may be able to repair the crack if needed..

It was leaking water into lower unit but I put a seal kit in it and it fixed that problem. cannot figure out how to add a picture of the crack, but I do not think it would let water pressure to escape. It is on one of the interior walls. Does anybody know if this thing requires a gasket???
