1965 Mercury 35

Just bought a 1965 14 ft Starcraft with a 35 horse Mercury, the gas can is calling for 30 oz of oil per 5 gallons of gas. Seems excessive is that correct.

You can use TCW-3 at 50:1 as that engine has Anti Friction Bearings throughout. So 16 oz of oil for 5 Imp Gallons or 6 US Gallons of gas
