I saw a vid on youtube of a guy with a 3hp johnson on a little jon boat and it got it up on plane (my 10hp won't even do that!?!?) with him and his little 4-5yr. old son in the boat! Hold on to your hat!!!!

Well I gotta find a jon boat soon to put this thing on!!

Transom clamp is still froze though, gotta get that sucker freed up.

Funky how it only has one clamp too. I'd be a little worried that fire breather might get away from me. Might want to add a chain to it once it's all hooked up so you don't loose her to the drink. Good 'ol PB blaster and/or Seafoam may help free it up. I use an air cooled, 3hp Gamefisher on my 15'6" Aluminum, flat back canoe, but it's not nearly as cool as your old Johnny, and b/c it is air cooled the fish can hear me put-put-puting a mile away LOL!

Yea, that is odd. The older models have a dual clamp and so do the later models. Just make sure it's clamped good before you go.

Yeah I was thinking a safety chain just in case it came loose.

Yep its just the 1 clamp.

On my tag it says "made in Belgium by Outboard Marine Belgium S.A." Maybe thats why its different?
