Thanks Ez. I'm hoping to use the windshield and just shorten the side glass. The motor needs a thorough once over but does run. I might use the grab rails if they clean up good unless new ones or fairly inexpensive. If the windshield doesn't work I do have another one in storage. Once I pull the tank from the donor, then I'll have two tanks to choose from. My big debate right now is whether to open up the bow and slide the counsels (which would need to be fabricated) back or leave it a closed bow. I was also hoping to put a tank under the floor but there's only one floor support and it runs directly down the center. I could fab up two new ones but I need to figure out the dimensions. At least I have plenty of time ahead to figure that out

If only I could come up with the funds to get this beauty. I was telling the admiral the other day that I would like to find an I/O after I finish the holiday.

I was wondering if I could get a moderator to change the title to 1964 Starcraft Holiday 18'. I was originally told by the po that it was a 78 but upon further investigation I found out the correct year. Thanks. If not, it's not a big deal

Hey snap that SS up and stash it somewhere out of sight. MBS is not a bad thing so don't feel guilty .;)

Thanks jb. She's got quite a few of all sorts of shapes, as well as cast iron šŸ˜³ WM, I wish I could. If I can figure out how to get it I definitely will, I'll just keep my eye on it for now

EZ. My dad had a glasser. 01 sea ray with a 4.3. Beautiful riding boat, but definitely the devil to work on. I had to change a starter on it for him, talk about a major PITA

So tonight, I got the garage cleaned up, built a temporary table for parts, and built an engine stand as well as hung the motor on the stand. The holiday is basically all thawed out and will be goin in the shop tomorrow after work before the cold weather comes back.

Nice progress so far. Simple organization can be time consuming and the cold weather is no motivator for sure. Nice tractor too. Pretty cool. I saw you had a Cub sitting up there too. I love my cub even though its nothing special its been tough so far. I think its a AGS2135.

Thanks nr. It was almost 50 here yesterday and it's supposed to be in the 50's again today but it's supposed to get back down into the 20's again. I like my cub but I wish I would've gone with a little bit smaller of a deck. I have the 54" on it and me yard is a little rough but I also have 3 acres to mow

Yeah I think ours is like a 42 or something. I have about 1 acre to mow. First summer here I was sweating the 2 hour push mower job with trimming and all. Now I get all of it done and i can be drinking a cold refreshment on my deck in less than an hour :)

Ouch, got any local kids looking to earn a dollar or two? ;) my oldest boy doesn't mind yet but takes some convincing on the trimming.

NRF, probably not. I live about 20 minutes from the nearest town. Way out down an old dirt road and I love it. Plus I don't mind the yard work.

VT, welcome to the forums. A lot of incredibly great restorations on here

MN, definitely. Once I get rid of the donor I'll be down to three boats and a canoe šŸ‘ And I'm already thinking about trying to find an 18-20' with an I/O

So I got the holiday in the shop today. It's a little soggy from all of the rain today but it's better than the 2+ inches of snow that we're supposed to get tomorrow morning šŸ˜© I wish this weather would make up its mind

Here's a neat little tidbit. The po moved from Detroit to Minnesota. This boat has done some traveling in its day.

Done some traveling huh? Have you seen the route my well traveled SS has taken?

Someone filled in the bow hatch on your Holly, man those are tough to find.
