Hi, I have this internal 6 pins internal harness that needs to be replaced. The wires are all in very bad shape. Does anyone know if I can get a new (newer) one somewhere or can they taken apart and be re-wired? I browse the net without any luck so far.
1964 Mercury mod 651, 65HP.
Thank you.

Hard to tell by the photo, but I'd hazard a guess that you could make 414-2770 from CDI Electronics work for you. It has one extra pin, but you might be able to snip that out, then wire the remainder as yours were. It's really a pretty simple set of circuits. Start, ignition on, stop, choke. All there is to it...

I have one like it in stock, compare the wire lengths. The plug is fine it's just the photo. 650-wiring-harness.jpg

This plug in feature is a convenience thing.-----------Not needed,-----------Myself I would install a terminal board on the motor and hard wire it all.--------------Then no chance of poor connections.
