1964 and 1966 blocks

Will a 1966 40 hp block assembly work on a 1964 40hp Johnson outboard , both are Johnsons motors.
I have a bad cyl on the 64 and found a good block assembly, it's a 1966.
Will things bolt up?

Shouldn't be a problem. Driveshafts and Crankshafts are the same both years, and the bolt pattern for the block and exhaust housing are the same.
