Hey everyone,

I recently found an old 1964 Crosby Sea Sled sitting in someone's yard, I asked for it and got it free. However, I am new to the restoration and rebuilding process of boats and need some major help. The boat itself is in great condition with a few minor scuffs in the fiberglass. When I got the boat on Thursday, it was missing the engine, steering column, electrical wiring, seats, basically everything. I just have a plain old white Crosby Sea Sled now.

I started to notice some red ants were coming out the back of the boat and through a few of the holes where a bench seat may have been. I sprayed it with some Raid and other ant poisons but I have recently discovered that some of the wood underneath the fiberglass is rotten. I am in the process of removing the hull from the deck and have already made some great progress. But once again face a challenge, I have no idea where anything goes in the boat or what the boat looked like in the 60s.

I'll upload some pictures for you guys so you can see what it is I am talking about, all and all the boat is in excellent condition and has a lot of potential but I do not know where to start. Any help is welcomed. Also, I found the serial number but cannot make any sense out of it, 90942.

Thanks,

John
