I have acquired an antique boat recently and need help in identifying it. It is named SkiBird, built by the Michigan Ladder Co. (wolverine marine division). The company still exists, but no one knows anything about the boats built as they stopped building them 20 or so years ago. The boat has been under a shed for 30 years and is complete, but rough. It is 12'6" long and 6' wide and has an old 65 mercury engine on it. I would like to restore the boat and need help identifying it (Year, model, etc) Any help will be appreciated! Knot Man's Son

Re: 1963? ski bird boat

The link below is what I found in the USCG Manufacturers Identification Code (MIC) database when I searched for Wolverine Boats. This one has a Michigan connection and may be the same info you already have. There are three other MIC choices, two in FL and one in Canada. FYI, my current boat was built by a company that was OOB for ten years when I got it. However, armed with the MIC info I was able to track down the former owner of the company and his sales manager who provided me with similar info and a capacity plate. Good luck!
