Hi everyone,

I'm about as inexperienced as they come to boat restoration but the wife and I can't wait to dive in. If anyone can help me identify my new baby it would be much appreciated. I've looked though brochures from that year but cant tell. I'm going to go take some picks of her today and post them later. She's a 14' 1962 Starcraft fiberglass hull with a 500cc bundy. I'm not sure if the motor is original but I know its from the same year or close. She's been stripped of her interior so that's going to be my winter project. I'm still unsure if I'll keep the bundy on her. Does anyone know anything about bundy's other than the few threads on here? Thank you all in advance your help!

Here are some pics I took of the boat today before I put it into storage. I took a closer look and the tag on the boat by the motor says its an Arrow. The only thing is that it doesn't have a lapstrake hull. Also my registration says its a 62 but the Arrow would make it a 63.

Inspect the exterior bow for damage. Looks like it has been beach or had contact with the trailer crossmember.

Welcome to iboats

Certainly looks like a 1962 SC Scout to me. Do the details of yours match the brochure:

Cool project. I love the original motor too.

Spec wise its an arrow. Do you really think that the bundy is the original motor?

Best you can hope for is probably a maybe @the original motor.

If it's a 1962-3 Bundy, it is more likely then not the original motor if everything else is original: trailer, interior, etc....

I don't know anything about Bundys, so I'm not even sure where to look for model & serial # info. Mercs & Johnson/Evinrudes are fairly easy to look up.
Yours certainly looks like a 1962 Bundy:
