1962 Evinrude 40hp twin. Runs great except after running for about 2-3 minutes, any speed except idle, it is like it runs out of fuel. What i have done. replaced, tank (used), supply hose and bulb (new), fuel pump (new), fuel line from pump to carb (new). Stop pump the bulb and it does it again. If some keeps pumping the bulb it will stay running.
Motor has all new coild, ingnition parts etc.
Can't seem to figure it out.

Any ideas?

That has to be a fuel delivery issue. Probably fuel pump, but you say you replaced that. Have you tested the new fuel pump to be sure that it's actually supplying fuel when the engine is cranked? Other than that maybe a massive air leak somewhere in the fuel system.

Also check the tank vent, ensure it is OPEN when running, and not clogged. Take cap off and run again to test. If now all well, you know where the issue is.

Also would pull carb and clean it. Ensure float floats, not catching on gasket, etc...
