me and my fiance recently found this 1962 crestliner arabian deluxe in a barn in upstate new york(we are the 2nd owners of the boat). I'm new to boating and love to work on projects. The only thing that was damaged was the top for the boat(but all the bracing is in good shape). This has the 40 hp johnson electramatic, the original upholstery, and all the gauges and everything(including a transistor type am radio in the dash, and a pump style airhorn). The man who owned this looks to have really taken care of it. It spent most all of its life on a private lake, purchased and slightly developed by the original owner. The trailer is also the original gator tilt trailer. I have gone through and basically done an intense cleansing of the boat, and sandblasted and painted the trailer, and will show some before and afters, If I can figure out how to post pics. The last steps are freshening the motor with basic maintanance(which is now complete, and running), and getting reproduction stickers for the gator trailer.
here is how we found it
polishing aluminum, everything even the serial tag is now polished
buffed and cleaned everything to my meticulous standards
sandblasted the frame
new wood with some eurothane
everything but the motor which is currently done, but no new pics with the cover buffed up
can't wait to hit the water, special thanks to all the help here from the different forums, this has been a great experience for my first boat so far.
