me and my fiance recently found this 1962 crestliner arabian deluxe in a barn in upstate new york(we are the 2nd owners of the boat). I'm new to boating and love to work on projects. The only thing that was damaged was the top for the boat(but all the bracing is in good shape). This has the 40 hp johnson electramatic, the original upholstery, and all the gauges and everything(including a transistor type am radio in the dash, and a pump style airhorn). The man who owned this looks to have really taken care of it. It spent most all of its life on a private lake, purchased and slightly developed by the original owner. The trailer is also the original gator tilt trailer. I have gone through and basically done an intense cleansing of the boat, and sandblasted and painted the trailer, and will show some before and afters, If I can figure out how to post pics. The last steps are freshening the motor with basic maintanance(which is now complete, and running), and getting reproduction stickers for the gator trailer.

here is how we found it

polishing aluminum, everything even the serial tag is now polished

buffed and cleaned everything to my meticulous standards
IMG_2239.jpg

sandblasted the frame
IMG_2297.jpg

new wood with some eurothane
IMG_2355.jpg

everything but the motor which is currently done, but no new pics with the cover buffed up

can't wait to hit the water, special thanks to all the help here from the different forums, this has been a great experience for my first boat so far.

I will get some pics of the bow lights and the boat with the motor, did these boats have wooden floors in the back covering the fiber glass, there were some tongue and groove pieces in the barn but i left them behind.

Jackson that is a sweet looking boat. I may be pestering you for some closeups in the next few weeks as I just picked up my second boat in as many weeks :D. This one happens to be a 1964 Crestliner arabian thats not nearly as nice as yours YET :D. The first one was a 1974 Larson 1700 Shark . The larson is for taking the whole famdamilly out the Crestliner will be done up to match my 63 Ford Unibody pickup and for Myself and SWMBO to take out just the 2 of us :D.
