After sitting 5 years in dry storage, motor started and runs perfectly however, now the prop just free spins in fwd and reverse. Greased the motor hinge pin zerc fitting, replaced lower unit oil, checked that the linkage engages the shift pin that goes down into the lower unit. Also noticed the brass prop has about 1/4" gap between itself and the lower unit housing which doesnt look right.. The gap was wide enough for me to take a wire and get the fishing line wound on the prop shaft removed. Any ideas? Ran ok last time so this was a new development...
