Some may recall my earlier post about a 1956 Lone Star I found and purchased. Well after digging and searching I was able to find more data that told me this waxs actually a 1961 Lone Star "Fleetwood Sport". I also has Big Twin Johnson 35's, that may not have been original to the boat, however the boat was built to run twins.
The boat in General is close to original, except updated steering, and these engines. Everything else looks great and should be able to be used. Even has the original trailer, with some crome "bling" from that era. Here are some pictures top date of what I started with, and where this boat is at right now regarding the beginning of the effort.
Not sure if all of these pictures made it but here is the start, transom is bad and so is the floor, interior will be redone, and I am looking for a period steering wheel. Other than that I just have a bunch of work to do getting this baby splashed. I will suggest it will be next year spring to complete this project.
