Hell o, I'm new to this, but I have a 1960 Longstar Malibu that I want to restore to its original condition. I really need help finding a place that I can find parts for this boat. Mainly looking for a windsheild. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Welcome aboard
Try ebay. Unlikely though, you'll probably have to make one

Welcome to iBoats!

Windshields for these old beauties are hard to come by. Luckily mine was in Pristine condition. Your best best is Search All of Craigslist, Ebay or make your own. On Ebay type in vintage boat parts and you'll get a lot of hits for old boat parts. Post some pics I'd love to see her. You can check out my "Blue Flamingo" in "My Flamingo" thread listed below.

hi patty......welcome to iboats.

as mentioned......finding old windsheilds is really hard to do.

what do you have?....do you still have the frame and a really bad windsheild?....or did the boat come without a windsheild?

we have instructions here on the forum for making a windsheild

Thanks for your advice,
I have checked Ebay and Craigs list, fould nothing on a windshield.
How can I make one, any advice on blue prints or websites to put me in the right direction would be great.
I'm a welder and a frabricator, so I have the ability, all I need is the a blue print to get there.
Thanks again for all your help.

I think this is a 1960 Malibu, but now I'm not sure. The only numbers on it, are on back outside top left corner, and they are 83420027. Can anyone confirm this for me or direct me where I can find out the year and model.
It has a 40hp Evinrude and is a 14ft boat.
I have added pictures

Tin fins, be still my beating heart. Patty, try fiberglassics Lone Star section.

Here is the 1960 Malibu from their brochures. It sure looks like your boat and shows the windshield and other details.

OMG:eek:!!!
If I was ever going to buy a boat that made me BLEED, this would be the one!!!! Even though it has "REEVITS" I would HAVE TO HAVE IT!!! I can't wait to see her restored. I agree that it's a 60' Malibu.
